Written by
Louis de Bernières, adapted and performed by Pip Utton.
Louis de
Bernières is one of the country’s leading writers, and is the prize winning
author of the best selling ‘Captain Corelli’s Mandolin’.
This is a
whimsical and comic tale of the obsession that leads our hero down the slippery
path of self-destruction. The audience are taken smiling along this path before
finally realising that his strange obsession will prove to be the means of his
salvation. It is a tale of an innocent searching for a new interest in life,
only to find himself taken over by his new passion and taken to the brink of
self-destruct. Obsession, deceit, novelty lingerie and cat food. When there’s
nothing else to eat …
