- This is an exciting and
challenging project using Jeff Wayne’s soundtrack and the original unabridged
script.
It is 30 years this year (2008) that Jeff’s ‘War of the Worlds’ album was released.
Not only is this the first one man performance of the work but the first time
that the full original script has been performed live.
From the author of the bestselling Captain Corelli’s Mandolin. “This is my
farewell embrace to the polymorphous people of Earlsfield, with whom I lived for
ten years... Dedicated to the living and dead of Earlsfield, which was
definitely the centre of the world when I was living in it.” – Louis de
Bernières Adapted by Pip Utton
In The Line of Duty
-
Written by Pip Utton directed by Hilary Strong
A
well known, but possibly small time, local drug pusher has been shot dead
by a policeman. The father wants to bury his son; the policeman has done
his duty and wants to get back to work; a villain has met with a
regrettable but perhaps inevitable end; and the investigating officer has
to resolve it all and make public his findings. (2 on the road
domestically, 3 internationally, strong language)
